Currently, there are three different styles of the game worldwide, with various names
In Greece Beach Racket is called RACKETA and is played using a tennis ball. In Israel it is called MATKOT and is played using a squash ball. In Europe, North, Central and South America it is played using a rubber ball.
In several countries Beach Racket is the national number one sport. With the cooperation of players and organizations in each country, we aim to unify the Beach Racket community to be able to grow and create tournaments with an international professional structure, sponsors, and big prizes.
Professional Beach Racket Scoring:
In professional Beach Racket, a team of two players (partners) will stand 8 meters apart for female, male and mixed-gender tournaments.
The court is marked by a net behind each player.
The objective is to hit the ball back and forth without letting it touch the ground, maintaining a speed of over 61 kilometers per hour.
Speed is measured by radar, and the number of hits and the final score are determined using specialized software.
Players will compete in two games, each lasting seven minutes.

Background
The purpose of creating the International Beach Racket Association is to develop the sport and make it a recognizedprofessional international sport with consistent rules. The potential is eventually getting the sport into the Olympic Games. Recent advances in technology (computer chips in racquet handles and sensors to collect information) will allow the IBRA to create international leagues and competitions in order to raise the profile of the sport, help players improve, and make competing more accessible for high level players.
Beach Racket is a growing racket sport played around the world (in 19 countries currently). It is collaborative game where you work with your partner to hit the ball back and forth as many times as you can without allowing the ball to hit the ground.

Basic Rules of Beach Racket
Beach Racket is a simple sport to understand and play.
Just find a partner and hit the ball back and forth, aiming to keep it from touching the ground, that’s the main rule.
As you improve, you can start hitting the ball with more force, which is called an "attack."
Your partner will respond by defending the attack and returning the ball.
As you both get better, it becomes a true team effort with increased speed and precision.
It’s also an exciting sport for spectators!

Beach Racket can be played in nearly any outdoor area.
It was originally played on the beach, where the sand and water provide the perfect setting.

BEACH RACKET EQUIPMENT
In Beach Racket, you typically don’t keep score since the goal isn’t to win.
Instead, you can count how many times you hit the ball back and forth before it touches the ground and use this as your score if you wish.
Each time you play, you can aim to beat your previous high score.
